چکیده
We investigated the photochemical stability of an electro-optic (EO) polymer under laser irradiation at 1310nm to reveal photodegradation mechanisms. It was found that one-photon absorption excitation assisted with thermal energy temperature is involved in process, contrast our previous studies a wavelength 1550nm where two-photon process. Thus, both and strongly affect degradation mechanism. In any cases, EO polymers mainly related generation exited singlet oxygen.

Performance Assessment of 1310 to 1550 nm Wavelength Conversion
We report on all-optical 1310 to 1550 nm wavelength conversion and NRZ-to-RZ data format conversion based on nonlinear polarization rotation in a single semiconductor optical amplifier. Introduction Undoubtedly, the 1310 nm transmission window is experiencing renewed interest. Multi-Gbit/s 1310 nm transmission technology is employed in access and metro networks [1-2]. The long-haul core network...
متن کامل1310-nm quantum key distribution system with up-conversion pump wavelength at 1550 nm.
We show that the performance of a 1310-nm quantum key distribution (QKD) system with up-conversion detectors pumped at 1550 nm is comparable with or better than that of current 1550-nm QKD systems with a pump at shorter wavelength. The nonlinearly-induced dark counts are reduced when the wavelength of the pump light is longer than that of the quantum signal. We have developed a 1550-nm pump up-...
متن کاملSignal and Image Processing of Optical Coherence Tomography at 1310 Nm Wavelength for Non Biological Samples
OCT is a recently developed optical interferometric technique for non-invasive diagnostic medical imaging in vivo; the most sensitive optical imaging modality.OCT finds its application in ophthalmology, blood flow estimation and cancer diagnosis along with many non biomedical applications. The main advantage of OCT is its high resolution which is in μm range and depth of penetration in mm range...
متن کاملWavelength selective electro-optic flip-flop
Operation of a novel wavelength selective electro-optic flip-flop is demonstrated. The flip-flop consists of an anti-reflection coated two-section semiconductor laser diode with optical feedback from two fiber Bragg gratings. Electrical set and reset signals cause the lasing output to toggle between two distinct lasing wavelengths with a mode suppression ratio of greater than -35 dBm.
متن کاملHigh-Speed Datacom VCSELs at 1310 and 980 nm
Recent progress on VCSELs for datacom applications within the author’s group at UCSB will be reviewed. Efforts on ‘all-epitaxial, long-wavelength’ InP-based devices as well as efficient, small-cavity-volume GaAsbased VCSELs will be included. InGaAlAs/InGaAsSb/InP all-epitaxial wafers processed in a conventional manner are found to provide viable VCSELs across the entire 1300-1600 nm wavelength ...
